Nancy McCormick, MSW, RSW

Nancy offers individual therapy to adults 18 years of age and older. She is a compassionate Social Worker Psychotherapist who provides individuals with a collaborative and client centered approach to various presenting issues such as managing life stressors, coping with anxiety/low mood, and adjusting to relationship and family dynamic issues. Nancy has over 25 years experience in supporting individuals, couples and families as they journey through health crisis and adjust to illness and disability including traumatic brain injury and chronic pain. She is also skilled in assisting clients with navigating the health care system and in linking with community- based resources. Nancy prioritizes building strong relationships based on trust and empathy. She strives to create a safe and supportive space where clients can share their experiences without fear of judgment and she integrates various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness to meet each individual client’s needs.Nancy maintains her continuing competence with the OCSWSSW and her current professional development plan includes training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy; Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD as well as Emotionally focused Therapy for Couples.
