Dwight offers individual, couple and family therapy. He is trained in numerous therapeutic modalities to provide more treatment options and depth to his work in couple and family therapy. Dwight provides clinical supervision to health care professionals wanting to develop their competencies in working with couples and families. He is a graduate level educator in couple and family therapy.

Dwight currently works with Veteran’s with a special emphasis on Veteran couple relationships. He has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, families, and individuals. Dwight is also trained in EMDR and now has been certified in the revolutionary approach to treating PTSD using the RTM (Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories) Protocol. RTM is a short-term intervention for problematic trauma memories with impacting results that last for years. Even if you have a therapist, Dwight can assist using the RTM protocol that will enhance your present work in therapy.

Dwight has a special interest in the effects of child neglect and abuse in the lives of adults offering an attachment-informed approach to treatment.

Dwight also works with professionals from the bereavement industry, such as funeral director's and death care specialists, and sees couples, individuals and families affected by the stressors found within their occupations. Dwight manages the mental health program for funeral services professionals. He offers consulting services for funeral home owners, managers and leaders who wish to develop a mental health strategy for their employees.

​He is certified as a bereavement trauma specialist through the American Academy of Stress and Trauma and is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist with the Canadian Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. He has obtained his clinical supervision designation and is able to supervise and train others in the practice of couple and family therapy.  He has completed the clinical traumatology specialization through the Institute of Traumatology, as of July 2025.

Dwight has over 20 years of experience as a Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and mental health professional. His theoretical orientation integrates a systemic, developmental, attachment and emotionally focused approach to individual and relational problems that is trauma informed. His passion for his work helping clients accomplish their goals and students and health care professionals develop their professional competencies is demonstrated in his commitment to ongoing learning and continuing education in the field of marriage and family therapy.
