About the Micro-credential
The terminal phase of the death care response cycle relies on an unseen frontline. Historically, occupational mental health support has focused overwhelmingly on First Responders, leaving a critical vacuum in clinical care for Death Care Professionals (DCPs)—including funeral directors, embalmers, removal workers, and coroners.
This Specialized Clinical Micro-credential bridges psychotherapy with lived death care experience, providing the exact depth and insight required for mental health providers to successfully engage this unique population. This is currently the only validated Last Responder mental health training of its kind in Canada.
Who Should Attend?
This program is designed for Licensed Mental Health Providers (MHPs)—including psychotherapists, counselors, and EAP generalists—seeking to establish Occupational Sensitivity and specialized clinical competence in the death care industry.
